02/12/2001ORDER This matter is before the court pursuant to the February 2, 2001 order of the Court of Appeals. On October 25, 2000, the Court of Appeals directed appellant's former counsel, Janis M. O'Connor, Esquire, to transfer forthwith all documents pertaining to the above-referenced appeal to newly appointed counsel. On December 28, 2000, the Court of Appeals ordered Ms. O'Connor to transfer all materials to new counsel and file a statement with the court that the transcripts were transmitted, or show cause why she should not be held in contempt for ailing to transfer the materials or otherwise comply with the prior court orders. Ms. O'Connor was given 20 days to comply or respond, but she failed to do either. Accordingly, it is this 12th day of February, 2001, ORDERED that Janis M. O'Connor, Esquire, appear and show cause why she should not be held in contempt for failing to comply with the October 25, 2000 and December 28, 2000 order of the Court of Appeals in the above captioned matter, and it is further ORDERED that the hearing shall be held March 15, 2001, at 2:30 p.m., in Courtroom 101, and it is further ORDERED that any written submissions regarding this order and the March 15, 2001 proceedings shall be submitted by March 9, 2001. 03/30/2001ORDER This matter is before the court pursuant to the February 2, 2001 order of the Court of Appeals. On March 15, 2001, this court conducted a show cause hearing on the issue of whether Janis M. O'Connor, Esquire, should be held in contempt for failing to comply with the Court of Appeals orders issued on October 25, 2000 and December 28, 2000, directing Ms. O'Connor to transfer all documents pertaining to the instant appeal to new counsel, Robert Dowlut, Esquire. At that time, this matter was continued to March 28, 2001, to ensure that all relevant documents had been transferred to Mr. Dowlut. Ms. O'Connor transferred the remaining transcripts to Mr. Dowlut prior to the March 28th hearing. It now appears that Mr. Dowlut has all the transcripts necessary to prefect the appeal. In light of the facts that Mr. Dowlut has all the documents necessary for the appeal, that Ms. O'Connor has transferred all necessary documents, and that the other issues raised are being investigated administratively, it is this 30th day of March, 2001 ORDERED that the show cause proceeding is closed.
