Having reviewed the petition, the answer, the motion and the opposition, we have concluded that oral argument would assist this court in resolving the motion for a stay. We temporarily stay the trial set below until Wednesday, July 27, 2005, to permit this court to hear oral argument on the question of whether this court should stay the trial court proceedings indefinitely pending this court's final resolution of the petition. The clerk of this court shall schedule oral argument to be equally divided between both sides on the pending motion for a stay for 1:30 p.m., on Monday, July 25, 2005, in Carson City. Oral argument shall be limited to 60 minutes. We encourage petitioners to select and agree upon no more than two defense counsel to present the oral argument on behalf of all petitioners. We grant petitioner Roger Pinney's motion to file a supplement to his joinder to the petition and Alexander Alcantar's and Victor Ramirez' joinder in Pinney's supplement. The clerk shall file the supplement submitted by Pinney on May 25, 2005. We also grant the State's unopposed motion to June 22, 2005, to supplement the record before this court. The State shall have 20 days from the date of this order to supplement the record and to file any additional argument addressing issues raised in subsequent joinders which were not previously addressed in the State's answer.
