02/09/2011GRANTED On consideration of the motion of the Board on PRofessional Responsibility (the Board) filed pursuant to D.C. Bar R. XI, Sec 15 (a) to appoint a member of the District of Columbia Bar to protect the interests of the clients of Jason P. Green, Esquire, who died on May 2, 2010, and it appearing that such appointment is necessary because there is no partner, associate, or other responsible attorney capable of conducting the attorney's affairs, it is hereby ORDERED that Anita Isicson, Esquire, is appointed to inventory the files of Jason P. Green, Esqure, a deceased member of the District of Columbia Bar, to make appropriate disposition of such files, to properly distribute any client funds in the deceased's escrow accounts, and to take any other appropriate action to ensure continuity of the representation for the deceased's clients; and it is FURTHER ORDERED that the appointed attorney shall file with the Board written acceptance of this appointment; and it is FURTHER ORDERED that as promptly as possible, the appointed attorney shall provide to the Executive Attorney of the Board a written estimate of the number of hours necessary to complete the inventory and distributiion of the deceased's client files, and that the appointed attorney shall submit to the Executive Attorney monthly statements of the time spent and expenses incurred in carrying out this appointment; and it is FURTHER ORDERED that the appointed attorney shall be compensated by the Board for the services rendered in carrying out the appointment at the prevailing rate under the District of Columbia Criminal Justice Act without prejudice to the Board seeking reimbursement from any appropriate parties; and it is FURTHER ORDERED that should the appointed attorney determine, after conducting an inventory of the deceased's files, that additional assistance is required to carry out his or her responsibilities pursuant to this order, that the attorney shall notify the Board, which may, in its discretion, appoint an additional attorney or attorneys to protect the interests of the deceased's clients pursuant to D.C. Bar R. XI, Sec 15 and to carry out the responsibilities set forth in this order of appointment. (GL,TH,TE)
