10/03/2000Case Status Update Submitted for Decision.
05/08/2001Order/DispositionalFiled Order of Affirmance. 'ORDER the judgment of the district court AFFIRMED.' fn7[In the opening brief, Sanchez's counsel, Michael V. Stuhff, alleges that Sanchez gained no benefit from dismissal of this third misdemeanor case--number 97M0250X according to the plea agreement--because Sanchez was not even the defendant in that case. In the answering brief, the State informs this court that the plea agreement contained a typographical error: the actual case number was 98M2501X, which was dismissed after Sanchez pleaded guilty. Mr. Stuhff defended Sanchez in that case. Mr. Stuhff does not dispute this information in the reply brief and simply ignores the issue. We are troubled by the lack of candor on the party of Mr. Stuhff and caution him not to raise such frivolous, misleading claims with this court again.]NNP01A-MS/DA/RR 01-07702
