On May 9, 1997, moving respondents filed a motion to dismiss this appeal on grounds unrelated to this court's previous order. Appellant filed an opposition to the motion to dismiss on May 22, 1997, and replied to this court's order on June 5, 1997. Appellants shall have 30 days from the date of this order to show cause why respondents Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp., Hospital Corp. of America (a Tennessee corporation), Hospital Corp. of America (a West Vriginia corporation), and Health Services Acquisition Corp. should not be dismissed from this appeal. The moving respondents argue in their motion to dismiss that this court is without jurisdiction to consider this appeal because appellant failed to file a notice of appeal after the judgment of February 25, 1997 was entered and notice of entry of judgment was served. The district court had formally resolved all claims against all parties, and there was nothing further for it to consider. Therefore, appellant properly appealed from a final, written judgment.
