At that time, the clerk of this court inadvertently notified appellant that no filing fee was due because the appeal appeared to be an appeal taken from a criminal proceeding. It appears that the order appealed from denied appellant's motion for the return of cash she had posted as bail for a criminal defendant. While the order was entered in the underlying criminal case, bail bond matters are civil in nature. Therefore the filing fee required under NRS 2.250(1)(a) is due. Appellant shall have 15 days from the date of this order to pay the filing fee. If appellant is unable to afford the filing fee, then within 15 days, appellant shall file an application for in form pauperis status in the district court and notify this court that it has been filed. | 02-14114 | |
