06/09/2006	Order/Counsel	Filed Order/Sanctions. Order Imposing Sanctions. On May 8, 2006, this court again ordered Altig to file the fast track statement. Altig has once again failed to file either the fast track statement or a response. We conclude that the imposition of a monetary sanction is appropriate. Altig shall personally pay the sum of $500.00 to the Supreme Court Law Library and provide the clerk of this court with an affidavit or certificate verifying that payment has been made within 20 days of the date of this order. We refer this matter to the State Bar of Nevada for investigation pursuant to SCR 105. Bar counsel shall, within 90 days, inform this court of the status or results of the investigation and any disciplinary proceedings in this matter. We conclude that Altig's dilatory actions and neglect of his obligations to this court and his client require his removal as counsel of record. We remand this appeal to the district court for the limited purpose of securing appellate counsel for appellant. If appellant is indigent the district court shall have 30 days to appoint appellant counsel. Otherwise, the district court shall order that, within 30 days, appellant must retain appellant counsel and appellant counsel must enter an appearance in the district court. Within 5 days from the appointment or appearance, the district court clerk shall transmit to the clerk of this court a copy of the district court's written or minute order or counsel's notice of appearance.		06-12091
