After considering Williams' response to this court's show cause order, we conclude that Williams' notice of appeal was prematurely filed and failed to vest jurisdiction in this court. The notice of appeal was filed after the timely filing of a tolling motion, and before the tolling motion's resolution. Williams shall have 30 days from the date of this order to obtain an amended judgment from the district court and transmit a certified copy of the judgment to the clerk of this court. In order to perfect this appeal, Williams must file an amended notice of appeal from the amended judgment in compliance with NRAP 4(a). In our show cause order we directed attorney James J. Lee to show cause why he should not be sanctioned for failing to fully and accurately complete the docketing statement. In response, Lee states that he had no intention of misleading this court.
